How to keep your product accurate in AI-generated video

4 min read · Published 2026-10-04

For ecommerce, accuracy matters more than style. The customer receives the real product, so a changed label, color or proportion becomes a returns problem. These habits reduce the risk. They do not remove it, so a final visual check is always necessary.

1. Start from a real photo

Use image-to-video for the product itself, not text-to-video. A text prompt can only invent a look-alike. A photo gives the model the real shape and branding to start from.

2. Use a clean, sharp source image

High resolution, even light, a simple background, and the whole product in frame. Blurry or cropped photos force the model to guess missing detail.

3. Choose simple motion

A slow push-in or a partial orbit is safer than fast spins, big camera swings or complex hand interactions. Less movement means less opportunity for distortion.

4. Write constraints into the prompt

Keep the product shape, label, logo placement, colors and packaging unchanged. No new text, no extra objects, no cuts.

5. Keep clips short

Detail tends to drift over time. Generate short clips, check them, and join clips in an editor if you need something longer.

6. Add text and logos afterward

AI video models often struggle with readable text. Add price tags, captions and brand overlays in a video editor so they stay exact.

7. Review frame by frame before publishing

  • Pause on the first, middle and last frame and compare each against the original photo.
  • Check the label, logo, color, and small parts such as caps and handles.
  • Reject clips where the product warps, melts or gains extra parts, even briefly.
